DESCRIPTION:Due to the change of ownership and the leasing of the units at Hornsea Freeport we are moving our event to Hornsea Town Hall. We will be on the first floor with access by lift and stairs. \nOn this day the venue will be open to the public from 9am until 5pm when you can purchase Hornsea Pottery in Hornsea again. Our society members have been collecting this special pottery over many years and now they are bringing some of their collections for you to buy. \nThere will be plenty of tableware if you need to replace pieces or purchase a new set you like. Many members will be bringing the wonderful decorative ware too\, you will not be disappointed as there are many different ranges to collect. \nIf you are looking for specific items of tableware please contact us and we will try to help you to complete your set. \nThe Venue will also be open on Sunday April 10th but only from 9am until 12noon due to the society Annual General Meeting.

SUMMARY:Nostalgia Weekend Hornsea Freeport
DESCRIPTION:This event will be the sixth one the Society has held at Hornsea Freeport. The first year was only supposed to be held on Bank Holiday Saturday but was so popular that some of our members stayed on for the Sunday too. \nSince then we have taken over a vacant unit on the site for all three days of the August Bank Holiday weekend. \nOur members bring their surplus Hornsea Pottery to sell to collectors of the many different types of pottery\, plus there will be plenty of tableware for anyone who is looking for replacements of broken items. \nIn 2013 on the Bank Holiday Monday we invited Paul Hayes the television antiques expert to value items of Hornsea Pottery and other items brought for him to peruse. The queue was endless and Paul worked hard all day. \nBecause that event was so well received\, in 2014 we were very pleased when Mark Hill who is the Retro and Vintage expert on the Sunday evening antiques programme agreed to our request to appraise the many and various items brought by the general public. He gave us an amazing master class on a large quantity of rare glass belonging to some of our members. \nThis event will be held at Hornsea Freeport over the three day August Bank Holiday weekend with an antiques expert on the Bank Holiday Monday to value any vintage\, retro or antique item. \nWe are very pleased to announce that Beverley based Auctioneer and Bargain Hunt antiques expert Caroline Hawley will be joining us on the Bank Holiday Monday to value your antiques and collectables. Please bring along any item you would like to know the value of\, pottery\, jewellery\, glass or anything you can carry! So search your attic or garage and bring them along!

DESCRIPTION:On Sunday April 19th 2015 the Society will hold its Annual General Meeting starting at 11am prompt. \nThis will be followed by the usual members auction where there will be some rare items for sale from Carol at Hornsea Museum. These pieces are duplicates of items already in the collection and gives her the funds to purchase the ones needed to fill the gaps. \nThere will also be the usual raffle with some lovely prizes. \nWill members please note :- There will be the usual drinks and biscuits but no buffet at this meeting as there are two very good cafe’s on the site.  Last year many members went for a hot meal or bought something to bring back to the shop unit. \nPlease note this is for society members only and the doors will open to the general public at 12.30 approx.

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday April 18th 2015 the Society will be holding a Spring promotional event kindly hosted by Hornsea Freeport the home of Hornsea Pottery. This will be held in unit 21 on the Freeport site. \nOur members try to source as many of the designs that people will be looking for and delving into their own collections for some special pieces to take. \nHornsea Freeport receive many phone calls from people who use the tableware and need replacements and this will be an ideal opportunity for them to find what they need. \nMany people collect the many and various items Hornsea Pottery produced throughout the years and there will be plenty to choose from. We hope to see you there. \nIf you wish to join the Society that will be possible on the day\, also there will be a few copies of the book Hornsea Pottery available to purchase\, these are only available to members.
