About Hornsea Pottery Collectors’ and Research Society (HPC&RS)

The Society has been established for 34 years and brings collectors of Hornsea Pottery together to buy and sell items and to share rare finds.  Hornsea Pottery was in business from 1949 to 2000 making a wide variety of ceramics and tableware from its factories in Hornsea, East Yorkshire and later at Lancaster in Lancashire.

Society AGM April 2024

Through the auction sale of duplicate items from the Hornsea Museums own collection at the Society AGM back in April 2024, and through our members voting to change our Constitution we managed to raise a fantastic sum of money for the Hornsea Museum that allowed it purchase a collection of eight Wildlife sculptures.

Modelled by Alan Compton Luckham,  of course these are now proudly on display in the Carol Harker House at the Hornsea Museum so why not check them out, link to the Museum website can be found on this site. We’d like to thank the Trustees and volunteers at the Museum for all the encouragement and support they have provided our members this past year and look forward to another great year working with all at the Hornsea Museum.
